Pelvic floor disorders occurs when the complex system of muscles, ligaments, connective tissue, and nerves that help support and control the rectum, uterus, vagina, and bladder are damaged or do not function correctly. Damage to the pelvic floor can occur for any number of reasons including childbirth, repeated heavy lifting, chronic disease or surgery.
The foundation of WomanWoRX is the Urogynecology Center of Minnesota – an advanced clinic for the diagnoses and treatment of a full range of pelvic floor disorders – in combination with our specialized Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. Kegel exercises were developed to help women strengthen their pelvic floor. For most women, they’re simply not the answer. Here’s why:
First, it can be difficult to do them correctly in which case there is no benefit.
Second, your condition may need more therapy than Kegels can provide.
Third, depending on your condition, Kegels can actually worsen your symptoms.

For Minnesota residents, your visits are typically covered by insurance for physical therapy. With a proper evaluation, you can get answers and a personalized treatment plan. A referral from your provider is generally necessary to prior to a physical therapy evaluation.
Exercise appointments are not covered by insurance. They are cash pay.

We have prepared hundreds of videos for you to use. Each program has a sequential set of education and exercise videos. With an online membership you get access to all of our On-Demand programs. Once you complete a program you have the ability to repeat it or jump into our Fitness Program to maintain your results.
